Professor Geoffrey Hammond is the inaugural Director of the Institute for Sustainable Energy and the Environment (I-SEE) at the University of Bath. He is a mechanical engineer with a multidisciplinary background, including environmental engineering and management. His research interests concern 'energy systems and environmental sustainability', as well as the underpinning engineering sciences of 'thermodynamics, fluid flow and heat transfer'. He is the author or co-author of many research papers, and was the joint recipient of the Dufton silver medal for one of these publications.
